We are seeking a Financial Paraplanner who is passionate about financial planning and eager to grow within a dynamic and client-focused environment.

Position Summary

The Financial Paraplanner will collaborate closely with advisors to support the financial planning process, prepare client analyses, assist in developing recommendations, and contribute to a seamless client experience. This role is well suited for an individual seeking to build a long-term career in financial planning and wealth management.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a desire to continually expand their financial planning knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning Support

  • Assist advisors in preparing comprehensive financial plans and recommendations.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze client financial data.
  • Prepare retirement projections, cash flow analyses, education funding analyses, insurance reviews, and estate planning summaries.
  • Assist with investment allocation reviews and portfolio analysis.
  • Research planning strategies and solutions to address client needs.

Client Meeting Preparation

  • Prepare meeting agendas, reports, presentations, and planning materials.
  • Generate financial planning reports and recommendations.
  • Document client meetings and maintain detailed records of planning discussions.
  • Track action items and follow-up tasks resulting from client meetings.

Client Service & Relationship Management

  • Communicate with clients to obtain financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and gathering required planning data.
  • Support advisors in responding to client inquiries regarding financial planning matters.
  • Help ensure a consistent, high-touch client experience.

Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate client records within CRM and financial planning software.
  • Support account opening and maintenance processes as needed.
  • Ensure planning documentation complies with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with workflow management and project tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, banking, accounting, or financial planning preferred.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFP® coursework completed, in progress, or a desire to pursue CFP® certification.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software such as eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, RightCapital, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Schwab Advisor Center, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, risk management, and investment management concepts.
