Front-End Software Engineer

Location: Providence, RI / Remote, USA | EST Preferred

At Wealthbox, we serve thousands of financial advisors with our modern CRM software, which provides an easy way to manage client relationships, organize and execute workflow processes, and collaborate with a team in a powerful and beautiful software solution.

We are seeking a Front-End Software Engineer in our Engineering department, reporting to our VP of Engineering. This role is responsible for working closely with our engineering, design and product teams to implement user-facing functionality for various product initiatives. You’ll be part of a team that’s focused on delivering product features and updates that deliver value directly to Wealthbox end-users.

A typical day might include implementing a new reusable component, implementing a new feature of the web/mobile app, and fixing a bug in a React-powered feature. The Front-End Software Engineer will work directly with Wealthbox’s internal teams and will be instrumental in the success of Wealthbox products and related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement clear, tested front-end code and user-facing functionality using React, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, CSS and related technologies
• Collaborate with the product, design and engineering teams to deliver a best-in-class software product
• Pair program with other engineers and participate in project planning and code reviews
• Contribute to our internal design system and component library and help keep our internal documentation up to date
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends to keep Wealthbox’s user interfaces current and innovative
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• 2-5 years of professional front-end engineering experience
• Experience developing user interfaces using React and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Four-year degree in engineering, design, art or a related field
• Interest in AI, automations and cutting-edge engineering techniques
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or back-end development is a plus
• Experience with component library development/maintenance is a plus
• UI/UX design experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent written communication skills and a strong ability to contribute to the team
• Excited to work in a high-energy, collaborative, high-growth environment
