Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Enrolled Agent with strong tax preparation and client service experience to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will be skilled in preparing and reviewing a wide range of tax returns, providing tax planning guidance, and maintaining compliance with federal and state tax laws. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Research complex tax issues and ensure compliance with current tax regulations.
- Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to clients.
- Communicate with clients to collect information, resolve discrepancies, and discuss results.
- Assist with IRS and state correspondence or audit responses as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics in all client interactions.
Qualifications
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license required.
- Minimum 3 years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting or tax firm environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and tax software (e.g., ATX, Lacerte, Drake, or UltraTax).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, forms, and filing requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet filing deadlines.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on tax law changes.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time, year-round position.
- Standard business hours, with additional hours during tax season.
