CDL DRIVER- P ENDORSEMENT

About the Role:

The CDL Driver with a P Endorsement plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers and goods within designated routes. This position requires operating commercial vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. The driver will be responsible for maintaining vehicle condition, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and adhering to schedules to meet operational demands. Effective communication with dispatchers, customers, and team members is essential to coordinate routes and address any issues that arise during transit. Ultimately, this role contributes to the company’s reputation for reliability and professionalism in transportation services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) Endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
• Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Proven experience operating commercial passenger vehicles safely.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with route planning and time management in a transportation setting.
• Familiarity with GPS and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with passengers.
• Additional endorsements such as Air Brake (S) or School Bus (S) endorsements.
• Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities:

• Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Transport passengers or goods to designated locations according to scheduled routes and timelines.
• Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records as required by regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates and resolve any transportation issues.
