Note: This is a relief position.
Key Responsibilities And Activities
Control facility access
Ensure security of facility and oversee camera systems, keys and locks, and electronic door access
Control plant ingress and egress
Respond to medical emergencies
Maintain EMT certification
Participate in drills
Provide training such as safety meetings, first aid, truck drivers, MSHA hazard training
Answer plant phone system
Test and operate plant alarm system
Provide Chemtrec response for the business
Prepare overtime meals and maintain inventory of food and supplies
Maintain first aid kit supplies
Direct truck drivers and ensure proper safety equipment, paperwork and bills of lading and shipping documentation
Initiate proper notifications in emergency situations
Authorize/Repair safety glasses
Issue bus passes
Provide training to lab analysts and warehouse personnel on all security officer responsibilities in case of an emergency situation
Work overtime and shiftwork as needed
Assist areas in developing control measures to reduce risk
Assist with and support emergency response efforts
Compliance with record retention policy
Other assignments as necessary to meet department goals and objective
Support ISO 9000 efforts
Required Skills And Experience
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited educational institution
Intermediate EMT Certification
Final determination on pay grade and salary will be made by HR and company leadership holistically considering the candidate’s education, experience, past performance, demonstrated leadership and influence.
