Director Of Preconstruction
$150,000 to $190,000 plus bonus**
My client is a leading commercial general contractor delivering projects across Ohio in sectors including commercial, mixed use, multifamily, healthcare, education and industrial. They are now hiring a Director Of Preconstruction to lead estimating, conceptual budgeting and early project planning for major ground up developments.
Responsibilities
• Lead all preconstruction and estimating activities for new and upcoming projects
• Manage conceptual budgeting, feasibility studies and early cost planning
• Oversee quantity takeoffs, bid packages, subcontractor pricing and value engineering
• Partner with owners, developers, design teams and internal operations
• Support RFP responses, presentations and pursuit strategies
• Develop estimating processes, templates and standards across the team
• Mentor Estimators and Preconstruction Managers
• Work closely with operations to ensure smooth handoff into project delivery
Experience Required
• 10 years or more preconstruction or estimating experience
• Strong commercial construction background
• Experience with ground up projects in the $10M to $150M range
• Proficient with estimating software and conceptual budget development
• Ability to manage internal teams and subcontractor relationships
• Excellent communication and client facing skills
• Local to Ohio or open to relocating
