Fair & Events Associate (Temporary, Part-Time)
Position Summary
We R Nuts NY, Inc. is seeking energetic, dependable team members to represent our brand at fairs, festivals, farmers markets, and special events throughout Western New York. This position focuses on providing outstanding customer service while selling our handcrafted gourmet nuts. During slower periods, team members may assist with production, packaging, inventory, setup, breakdown, and general cleaning duties.
Responsibilities
Greet customers and actively engage with the public.
Offer product samples and explain products.
Operate the Square point-of-sale system and accurately handle transactions.
Restock displays and maintain an attractive sales booth.
Set up and tear down tents, tables, displays, and equipment.
Load and unload inventory and event equipment.
Assist with production and packaging as business needs require.
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area.
Follow all food safety and company procedures.
Represent We R Nuts NY, Inc. in a professional, friendly manner.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often 8-12 hours.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, squat, push, and pull inventory and equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, wind, and rain.
Ability to load and unload vehicles and trailers.
Qualifications
Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
Dependable with a strong work ethic.
Comfortable speaking with customers throughout the day.
Cash handling or retail experience preferred but not required.
Reliable transportation to event locations.
Weekend and holiday availability is required, as these are our busiest sales periods.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
