Job Summary
We’re hiring a friendly, reliable Weekend Venue Team Member to support two key parts of our business: running the café during open play hours and hosting private kids birthday parties. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced family environment, can stay organized on a checklist, and brings calm, confident energy when it gets busy.
Café Open Play Responsibilities
- Greet families, answer questions, and support a smooth open play experience
- Prepare and serve beverages and simple café items (coffee/espresso-style basics, snacks, light prep)
- Operate the register/POS, handle payments accurately, and provide great customer service
- Keep café, seating, and common areas clean and stocked throughout the shift
- Restock supplies, label/organize items, and complete opening/closing checklists
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for kids and families during open play
Birthday Party Host Responsibilities
- Set up party rooms before events using a checklist (tables, supplies, staging)
- Welcome the party family, review the plan, and guide the event flow
- Support key moments like food/cake time and gift time, and help with simple transitions
- Keep the space tidy during the party (quick resets, trash, wipes, restocks)
- Clean and fully reset the party room after events (sanitizing, trash removal, restocking, return items to labeled spots)
- Communicate post-party notes to the team (supply needs, damage, lost items, follow-ups)
Must-Haves
- Weekend availability (Saturdays Sundays) and strong reliability
- Friendly, confident customer service with families and children
- Organized, able to follow checklists and keep spaces clean and set
- Comfortable in a lively kid-focused environment
- Able to stand for long periods and lift light items (chairs, supplies)
Nice-to-Haves
- Barista/café, food service, or counter service experience
- Party hosting, camp counselor, childcare, teaching, or event support experience
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule & Hours
- Weekends only, hours vary based on open play and party bookings
- Typical range: 5-10 hours/week, with opportunity for additional shifts during busy seasons
