Summary: We Must Vote is hiring Paid Canvassers to reach out to voters across the state of Mississippi. Paid Canvassers will play a vital role in talking directly with voters, helping people to check their voter registration status, and helping register people to vote. This is a paid, in-person position based in Mississippi. Canvassers will report to a Canvassing Manager. No experience necessary! All training is provided.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
- Strong verbal communication skills and comfortable engaging strangers door-to-door
- Valid driver’s license, social security card, reliable transportation and a smartphone
- Willingness to work outdoors and walk for extended periods
- Ability to meet daily canvassing goals and respond well to feedback
- Must be available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Must be 18 and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knock on doors in assigned neighborhoods to talk with voters face-to-face
- Use a smartphone app to record accurate data from conversations
- Educate voters on how to vote in the upcoming election
- Represent We Must Vote positively and professionally in the community
- Attend training sessions and team check-ins
- Meet daily performance goals
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation:This is a temporary, hourly position through the November 2026 election cycle.
- Hourly Pay: $18/hour
