Amplify is an advocacy incubator. We discover, develop, and amplify the voices of those historically silenced, misunderstood or oppressed to foster positive change within our communities and causes around the world.

Our world is filled with labels, stereotypes, and judgment that often silence those living with stigma. Too many people feel isolated, disempowered and trapped by shame, their voices unheard and their stories untold. This silence doesn’t just impact individuals—it holds back entire communities from embracing understanding, compassion, and progress.

Role (Volunteer): Email Marketing Specialist.

Role Description: We’re looking for a skilled and thoughtful email marketing volunteer to create and implement a welcome email sequence for new newsletter subscribers. The goal is to introduce new supporters to our mission, build trust, share stories of impact, and inspire early engagement.

Responsibilities

Write a compelling 3–5 email welcome sequence that:

• Welcomes subscribers warmly

• Introduces the mission and work of Amplify Voices

• Shares real stories and testimonials

• Invites meaningful next steps (e.g. following on social, attending an event, donating)

Build the automated journey in Mailchimp, ensuring proper triggers and timing

Review existing assets and repurpose content where helpful

Test the journey and ensure a seamless, user-friendly experience

Collaborate with the Executive Director to align tone, values, and goals

Ideal Skills & Experience

• Experience writing and designing email marketing campaigns, ideally for nonprofits or mission-driven brands
• Proficiency with Mailchimp (automation, segmentation, templates, etc.)
• Strong writing/editing skills with an eye for tone, clarity, and relationship-building
• Basic knowledge of user journeys, CTAs, and email marketing best practices
• A heart for social impact and authentic storytelling
