HOLIDAY LIGHTING & AERIAL INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
We Hang Christmas Lights Orlando is looking for an experienced Holiday Lighting & Aerial Installation Technician to join our team for the 2026 holiday season.
This is a skilled position for someone who is comfortable working outdoors, working at heights, operating aerial equipment, handling electrical and low voltage systems, driving and backing a dual axle trailer, and installing holiday lighting and décor.
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in bucket truck operation, electrical or low voltage work, aerial lift operation, trailer driving, climbing, and outdoor work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Install commercial and residential holiday lighting and décor
- Install lighting on rooflines, trees, palms, buildings, entrances, landscaping, and specialty structures
- Operate bucket trucks and aerial lifts for elevated installations
- Perform tree climbing and aerial lighting installations
- Work safely from ladders, bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and other approved access equipment
- Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot electrical and low voltage lighting systems
- Install C9 lighting, mini lights, wreaths, garland, 2D and 3D décor, tree lighting, and specialty displays
- Drive company vehicles and safely tow and back dual axle trailers
- Load, unload, secure, and organize equipment and materials
- Troubleshoot installation issues and find practical solutions in the field
- Work independently and as part of a professional installation crew
- Maintain high standards for safety, workmanship, appearance, and efficiency
- Travel daily from our Sanford warehouse to job sites throughout Central Florida
THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED:
- PREVIOUS BUCKET TRUCK OPERATING EXPERIENCE
- PREVIOUS ELECTRICAL OR LOW VOLTAGE EXPERIENCE
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE DRIVING AND BACKING A DUAL AXLE TRAILER
- PREVIOUS AERIAL LIFT EXPERIENCE
- PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL OUTDOOR WORK EXPERIENCE
- EXPERIENCE CLIMBING AND WORKING AT HEIGHTS
- EXPERIENCE WORKING FROM LADDERS AND ELEVATED PLATFORMS
- VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
- LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
- ABILITY TO RELIABLY COMMUTE TO OUR SANFORD, FL WAREHOUSE
- ABILITY TO SAFELY LIFT AND CARRY 50 POUNDS
- ABILITY TO CLIMB, BEND, SQUAT, CRAWL, REACH, AND PERFORM PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORK THROUGHOUT THE DAY
- ABILITY TO WORK OUTDOORS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS IN CENTRAL FLORIDA WEATHER
- STRONG MECHANICAL AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
- ABILITY TO FOLLOW SAFETY PROCEDURES AND OPERATE EQUIPMENT RESPONSIBLY
- RELIABLE ATTENDANCE AND DEPENDABLE TRANSPORTATION
- ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND AS PART OF A CREW
- DUAL AXLE TRAILER DRIVING & BACKING EXPERIENCE
We will train qualified candidates on our specific holiday lighting installation methods, products, and procedures.
WHAT THE JOB IS LIKE:
This is a hands on field position. You will spend your days outside, operating equipment, climbing, installing, troubleshooting, and working alongside a professional installation crew.
One day you may be operating a bucket truck. Another day you may be using an aerial lift, installing electrical connections, lighting and decor, or traveling as part of a crew.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:
PAY: TBD BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Seasonal position- September 14, 2026 - January 15, 2027
- 5 to 6 days per week during peak season
- Typical 10 hour shifts
- Overtime available and paid at time and a half for hours worked over 40
- Performance based bonus opportunities
- Tips may be available
- Paid weekly by direct deposit
