Role Description
The main focus of this role will be fundraising partnership development. This is a volunteer hybrid role for a Nonprofit Board Member based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with some work from home being acceptable. The Nonprofit Board Member will be responsible for participating in board meetings, providing strategic direction, fundraising efforts, community outreach, and ensuring the organization meets its mission and goals. The member will collaborate with other board members and staff to support the operations and governance of We Got Next Sports.
Qualifications
- Experience in strategic planning, governance, and organizational management
- Skills in fundraising, community outreach, and donor relations
- Knowledge of nonprofit operations and legal compliance
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for youth development and sports
- Previous board experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
