Analyst Role Description:
The Analyst will be part of our firm’s Advisor Teams and have the primary responsibility of assisting our Advisor Teams in managing the day-to-day needs of our clients, including assisting with KYC requests, account openings, drafting Letters of Instruction, preparing and/or updating client presentations. The Analyst will work with an Advisor team and help prepare and run portfolio and fund analysis as requested.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilizing the firm’s software applications, the Analyst will be responsible for producing analysis and reports as requested by the advisor teams. E.g., cash flow analysis, fund to fund comparison, portfolio analysis, investment reports, etc.
- Assist the Advisor teams in implementing specific client requests and confirming all requests are implemented correctly and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for managing the Private Equity and Alternatives subscription process, coordinating requests for documents with the Middle Office team, ensuring client KYC and AML documentation are updated and responding to all requests for documentation from fund administrators and custodians as needed.
- Draft letters of instruction and ensure the timely and correct implementation of these instructions.
- Work closely with the Operations Team and to help obtain information and statements needed to prepare client’s monthly consolidated statements.
- Support the Investments Research Team with quarterly manager reporting and monitoring for the managers assigned to him/her.
Required Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (business, finance, economics or equivalent)
- Bilingual Spanish/English oral and written proficiency required
- One to three years of experience in the financial services industry
- Series 65 registration or obtaining the series 65 registration within 3 months of hire
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft Suite, advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Addepar and FactSet highly preferred
- Broad understanding of the equity and fixed income markets, Assets Classes and Portfolio Construction
- Broad understanding of investment strategies across alternative investments and private markets
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Display initiative, the ability to work independently, and have ownership of one’s work
- Possess intellectual curiosity
