Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments accurately through Central Reach.
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to streamline patient check-in processes.
- Manage appointment rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-up scheduling to maintain clinic efficiency.
- Review medical documentation, care plans, and medical records for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and updating electronic health records.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure proper allocation of resources and timely patient care delivery.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing excellent patient service and clear communication at all times.
- Maintain accurate documentation of scheduling activities, appointment changes, and related administrative tasks using Microsoft Office tools.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical scheduling or administrative support within a ABA setting; clinic or organization experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of system such as Central Reach is a plus.
- Understanding of medical billing procedures.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of patient information.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and health information management software.
- Exceptional phone etiquette combined with strong organizational skills to manage busy front desk operations efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in documentation review.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations effectively.
- Prior clinic or hospital experience along with familiarity with insurance verification processes enhances your suitability for this role.
