Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care, companionship, and daily living support. As a Caregiver, you will work closely with healthcare teams, families, and community resources to deliver personalized care that enhances quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patient conditions, documenting changes in health status and reporting to healthcare professionals promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual preferences, ensuring safety during meal preparation
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient safety and confidentiality
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility support
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas and laundry
- Support patients with specialized needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, or hospice care
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and families
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
