What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trust & Estates Litigation Attorney – Atlanta (Onsite) – $160K position at We Are Legal Revolution?
Trust & Estates Litigation Attorney – Atlanta (Onsite) – $160K
A highly respected Atlanta boutique is expanding its fiduciary litigation team and is seeking an Associate to work on high-stakes trust & estate disputes, family governance conflicts, and complex fiduciary matters. Ideal for an attorney who wants courtroom experience, direct partner access, and real ownership of cases—not document-review purgatory.
Why This Role Stands Out
- True litigation practice—work on fiduciary disputes, family conflicts, business-related trust issues, will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and complex probate matters.
- Hands-on responsibility early: take depositions, draft dispositive motions, argue hearings, manage discovery, and have meaningful client exposure.
- Boutique culture with flexibility—collegial team, no Big Law politics, and a genuine emphasis on quality over billable hour quotas (no strict billing requirement).
- Broad case variety—split between plaintiff and defense matters, offering balanced courtroom experience and diverse litigation strategy development.
- Mentorship from trial-ready partners who actively train associates in strategy, witness prep, and case management.
- Stable, reputable Atlanta practice with strong referral networks and consistent demand in fiduciary litigation.
What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like
- Manage and litigate a wide range of trust & estate disputes, including will contests, beneficiary conflicts, trustee misconduct claims, and contested accountings.
- Conduct depositions of fiduciaries, beneficiaries, financial advisors, and expert witnesses.
- Draft motions, briefs, and discovery in complex fiduciary litigation and related business matters.
- Prepare and argue hearings in probate and superior courts, with opportunities to handle mediations and arbitrations.
- Collaborate directly with partners on strategy, case development, client counseling, and trial preparation.
- Work in-office with a tight-knit litigation team that prioritizes collaboration, quick decision-making, and real mentorship.
