The Role
- Advise on US and cross border employment and labor law issues for multinational clients
- Support employment aspects of M and A, restructurings and other corporate transactions
- Draft and review employment documentation and assist with multi jurisdictional employment projects
- Provide day to day employment counseling including compliance, policies and workforce management
- Work closely with partners and global team members on client strategy and execution
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a Junior Level Global Employment and Labor Law Associate with:
- Up to 2 years of experience focused on employment law or strong interest if a recent graduate
- Some exposure to employment counseling and transactional support, ideally with cross border elements
- Admission in good standing to the Illinois Bar or intent to sit for the Illinois exam
- Strong academic credentials from a leading law school with excellent writing and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in an in office environment in Chicago and work effectively with global teams
Compensation & Benefits
- $225,000 to $235,000 base salary, depending on experience
