Insurance Coverage Attorney | Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid) – $200K
Location/Schedule: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid)
Base Salary: $200K
Practice: Insurance coverage. Opinions, reservation-of-rights letters, declaratory judgment actions, and bad-faith defense for carriers. Not a general-liability seat.
Our client is a regional civil-defense and coverage firm founded in 1977. More than 100 attorneys sit in 13 offices across the Mid-Atlantic, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington. Thirteen lawyers were named Super Lawyers in 2025. Coverage is a listed practice in the Philadelphia office, and the group has taken declaratory judgment actions to summary judgment. Associates are promoted to partner from inside.

What You’ll Actually Do:
- Draft coverage opinions and reservation-of-rights letters.
- Handle declaratory judgment actions and bad-faith defense.
- Take coverage depositions and brief summary judgment.
- Advise carriers on duty to defend and indemnity.
Requirements:
- JD and active Pennsylvania bar
- 4–8 years post-bar insurance coverage or complex insurance litigation — current Associate, Counsel, or Partner
- A coverage opinion or declaratory judgment action
