What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Website Copy Refresh position at We Are Artistic?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
A clear, edited set of website copy migrated from the existing site to the new site. Volunteers will simplify language for readability, ensure consistent tone and headings, and provide ready-to-paste text for the pages we identify.
Clear, accessible website copy will help artists quickly understand our programs, join our community, and find in‑person and virtual events across the DMV. Volunteers’ work will make our offerings easier to discover and more welcoming to diverse creatives.
We will work closely with volunteers, share the existing site content and priorities, review draft revisions, and provide timely feedback. Details about page scope, deadlines, and the staff point of contact will be provided during the volunteer onboarding conversation.
