COMMERCIALIZATION MANAGER
OVERVIEW
The Manager, Commercialization at We All Gotta Eat! provides direction and coordination to multiple subject matter experts to deliver a CPG product to full commercial scale within the defined product specifications, timelines, and cost parameters. The Manager, Commercialization, reports to the CEO, and works as a strong collaborator and central hub for providing direction and facilitating the planning and go to market progress with a group of business, marketing, supply chain, co-manufacturing, co-packing, product development, and technology leaders, to ensure prioritization and successful delivery across the full commercialization process for our CPG business unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Manager, Commercialization leads multiple cross-functional efforts through the product commercialization process delivering specialty food products beginning at late-stage feasibility/bench to fully scaled commercialization.
- Collaborate closely with product development and marketing to identify and act on opportunities and risk during product early stage development and innovation.
- Responsible for the effectiveness of the cross-functional collaboration and advancement of thenew product initiatives.
- Fully owns and leads the successful delivery of products through to full scale production that meet both external customer, co-manufacturing and company expectations and goals.
- Define and calculate commercialization life stages and timelines and measure progress and performance of internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively manage and build rapport with the executive team and strategically advise on priorities, options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on other business priorities
- Provide frequent and transparent updates, manage sponsor expectations, and keep all stakeholders informed of the progress of all in-flight products/projects.
- Consistently identify, implement, and socialize the most effective processes, tools, and systems to keep the department current with world-class best practices.
- Lead and develop comprehensive resource models and risk mitigation plans in collaboration with agency leadership and discipline leads.
- Actively contribute to the development of the We All Gotta Eat! culture and standards of quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong collaborator and team player with demonstrated track record of bringing speciality food products to market utilizing multiple commercialization strategies (owned manufacturing, co-manufacturing)
- Exceptional people skills with highly developed facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Deep understanding and experience in business process engineering and optimization.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field of Product Development, Commercialization, Brand Management or Manufacturing.
- 3-4 years in a CPG and food development environment managing initiatives.
- Proven track record in stakeholder management with strong cross-functional collaboration skills operating in a matrix organization environment.
- Ability to travel to (up to 25%).
- Ability to interact with vendors and partners at an executive level.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exhibit strong team leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Position requires standing and walking for a period of 3-5 hours without a rest break.
- Occasional moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, bending, and reaching overhead may be required.
