Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Collect and record data meticulously to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Support teaching sessions that focus on communication, social skills, and behavioral goals in accordance with individualized care plans
- Help maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, behavior logs, and medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop effective behavior management strategies tailored to each individual’s needs
- Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages growth, independence, and emotional well-being
Requirements
- RBT Certification
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving personal goals
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, families, and team members
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and maintaining confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Compassionate attitude with patience and enthusiasm for teaching and supporting individuals with autism or other developmental challenges
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications such as CPR or First Aid are a plus
