JOB TITLE:                    Shipping/Receiving      

DEPARTMENT:               Warehouse

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:  Overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse shipping and receiving department. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of shipments, managing dock activity, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating logistics with other departments. The role involves order fulfillment, quality checks, documentation management, and adherence to company policies and safety protocols. 

REPORTS TO:  Scheduling Coordinator

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verify the accuracy of completed orders before scheduling deliveries or pickups with specific carriers.
• Receive and process incoming products form suppliers and deliver them to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify and report any inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company and government safety regulations.
• Oversee personnel in dock area, including job training and safety enforcement.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

• Working knowledge of DOT regulations 
• Effective communication/interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in computer systems for tracking inventory and shipments
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
