RN - Clinic - Local Contract

Our client, a large social services agency in the Bronx, is seeking an RN to work with the developmentally disabled population. Job Function

• Day Shift.
• 9am - 4:30pm.
• Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team, coordinating and implementing healthcare services for assigned residences.
• Develop and revise individualized health care plans in collaboration with physicians and the team.
• Provide staff training on medical administration, infection control, first aid, and other necessary health care topics.
• Manage communicable diseases and infections, ensuring proper protocols and staff training.
• Monitor and ensure proper medication administration, including supervising AMAP certified staff and overseeing prescribed medication.
• Schedule and track medical appointments, ensuring follow-up and implementing physician recommendations.
• Supervise and train Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and less experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) on best practices and agency policies.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• 2 years of nursing experience working directly with OPWDD patients.
• Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
