Job Description

Payday Express is seeking a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Grand Forks location. We are looking for a strong leader who takes ownership of store performance, delivers excellent customer service, and maintains a professional, organized, and efficient business.

The ideal candidate will have experience in retail management, consumer lending, banking, or financial services. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, build lasting customer relationships, and help grow our business while ensuring company policies and procedures are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations & Management

• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficient and professional service.

• Manage cash handling, daily balancing, bank deposits, and financial transactions.

• Maintain accurate customer records, loan documentation, and store reports.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable state and federal lending regulations.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.

Customer Service & Business Development

• Provide outstanding customer service while building long-term customer relationships.

• Develop strategies to attract new customers and retain existing customers.

• Promote company products and services to help increase store revenue and profitability.

• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.

• Identify opportunities to improve store performance and customer satisfaction.

Lending & Collections

• Review and process loan applications in accordance with company lending guidelines.

• Verify customer information, employment, income, and banking details.

• Evaluate loan eligibility and make responsible lending decisions.

• Manage outstanding loans, customer payment arrangements, and collection activities.

• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts while maintaining professionalism and following applicable collection regulations.

• Monitor loan performance, returned checks, and delinquency trends.

Leadership & Accountability

• Train, supervise, and motivate employees to meet operational and performance expectations.

• Establish clear expectations for customer service, accuracy, and productivity.

• Monitor store performance and work toward established sales, revenue, and collection goals.

• Ensure employees follow company procedures and maintain accurate records.

• Take ownership of store results and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.

• Experience in payday lending, banking, financial services, collections, or retail is a plus.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately.

• Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems.

• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following established procedures.

• Dependable, trustworthy, and professional.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
