Essential Functions

• Supervise warehouse and delivery staff, including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and assigning work and shifts.
• Develop and maintain efficient receiving, order-filling, and delivery processes to meet customer service requirements while meeting operating budgets and productivity targets.
• Meet auditing process and cost control requirements; manage the physical inventory process, including cycle counts.
• Maintain accurate and legal timecards through the provided timekeeping systems for all assigned employees.
• Develop and maintain efficient warehouse layout while measuring and maximizing space.
• Responsible for the Division’s regulatory compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations, including updating medical cards.
• Maintain and repair trucks, review and assure proper record keeping on trip records, monthly mileage reports, and driver schedules.
  
  

Other Functions

• Assure that merchandise is maintained in the proper warehouse location and that the warehouse is kept in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Provide for building and grounds maintenance for WCP property
• Troubleshoot problems with orders, both system and vendor.
• Substitute for drivers and warehouse staff when necessary.
• Perform other functions as necessary.

• Ability to lead and manage a team in alignment with company policy and legal expectations.
• Knowledge of how to successfully utilize ground freight and fleet management to meet division goals.
• Knowledge of Federal and State transportation and safety regulations, including hazardous materials
• Ability to execute facilities maintenance to meet expectations.
• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. Ability to work well under pressure.
• Detail-oriented, able to work with little direct supervision; well organized, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects and effectively follow through on projects.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in warehouse and delivery operations management required.
• Class A CDL (Highly encouraged) or ability to obtain
• Previous work experience in a wholesale distribution environment preferred.
• Good basic math skills required.
• Proficiency in using distribution software and Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to operate lift equipment, reach trucks, paper cutter etc.
• Previous Haz Mat and Haz Com training and handling experience.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment with temperatures subject to changes in the weather.
• Necessity to sit or stand for extended periods of time, regularly lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally lift up to 75 lbs with equipment assist.
• Frequent use of basic warehouse and delivery equipment (i.e. forklift, picker, pallet jack, etc.).
• Warehouse, customer location and truck cab environment.
• Subject to extremes in weather and traffic conditions
