Essential Functions:
o Aid in envelope manufacturing operations in accordance with the production schedules set by coordinator.
o Read instructions for job and set up press for efficient operation and quality output.
o Set up machine to run orders by adjusting print quality, hanging plates, mixing inks, and loading/repacking paper.
o Troubleshoot equipment and production problems to ensure proper safety standards are maintained and keeping press in optimal running condition.
o Monitor ink and adjust when necessary to ensure consistency throughout entire press run.
o Ensure efficient size change modifications are correct.
o Complete daily production and labor reporting paperwork.
Qualifications:
o Previous work experience in a converting operation preferred.
o Good basic math skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and current versions of MS Office.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
o Perform basic mathematical skills including use of measurement systems.
o Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
o Knowledge of feeding and delivery systems.
o Strong attention to detail, well organized with ability to prioritize, coordinate, and simultaneously maintain multiple projects; approachable, flexible, adaptable to change.
o Customer service oriented and dependable, with the ability to work well under pressure in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output.
o Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
o Effective verbal and written communications skills; ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
o Maintain a clean work environment and follow safety requirements and principles.
Working Conditions:
o Able to lift up to 25 lbs. or more waist high on a frequent basis and up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
o Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; able to bend, stoop and kneel on a frequent basic.
o Warehouse and mechanized environment subject to extremes in temperature.
o Occasional overtime available.
o Frequent use of basic warehouse and delivery equipment (i.e. forklift, picker, pallet jack, etc.).
o This position is categorized as a Safety Sensitive positions and will follow State protocols.
