Position Overview
The Construction Project Superintendent leads day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, resources, and team members to drive successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
Oversee daily jobsite activities and coordinate subcontractors
Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations
Contract & Scope Management
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project scope
Ensure work aligns with contract requirements
Safety Oversight
Enforce jobsite safety standards and procedures
Promote a strong safety culture across all site activities
Planning, Scheduling & Communication
Track progress, maintain jobsite logs, and report updates
Identify and escalate issues as needed
Team Leadership
Mentor field staff and support coordination with Project Managers
Foster a collaborative and accountable work environment
Documentation
Complete daily reports, safety documentation, and field records
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 5 years of experience, or 10 years of progressive construction experience
Strong knowledge of construction processes, including site work, structural systems, and finishes
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and field documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or scheduling tools is a plus
OSHA certification and First Aid/CPR preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license required
