WCF Insurance is growing, and the Underwriting Compliance & Business Technology team has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Business & Technology Analyst. This is a full-time, exempt position that works in WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters building. The person in this position serves as a critical bridge between underwriting, IT, vendors, ratemaking bureaus, and regulatory agencies to ensure accurate data flow and reporting compliance.
Responsibilities
The most qualified applicants will have:

All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation in their first year. The minimum salary for this position starts at $70,000 annually. There is the ability to increase starting pay depending on experience, education, and location.

Responsibilities
- Anticipate, analyze, and resolve technology and data issues impacting underwriting operations.
- Oversee business‑side support of reporting compliance and underwriting data exchange. Set priorities and actively participate in the team's planning.
- Research, diagnose, and remediate reporting and data‑quality errors; refine processes to reduce recurrence.
- Provide subject-matter expertise to IT development teams during design, construction and implementation phases of projects and support issue resolution.
- Maintain the product backlog and accountable for the contents and prioritization with clear, actionable requirements.
- Coordinate requirement gathering, testing, and implementation of reporting and data‑exchange changes.
- Interact regularly with underwriters, system professionals, training partners, vendors, ratemaking bureaus, and regulators.
- Help with the development and maintenance of IT systems for the underwriting department.
- Expertise in all WCF underwriting applications.
The most qualified applicants will have:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- At least two years of related business experience; additional experience with reporting, or compliance strongly preferred.
- Strong research skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals, bureau guidelines, and regulatory specifications.
- Proficient in documentation tools, JIRA preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in IT, training, project management, and managing business relationships.
- Experience in complex business processes, system design, and operations.
- Strong research skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals, bureau guidelines, and regulatory specifications.
