Location: Chino Hills, California (Hybrid)

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 plus Incentives


WCC Technologies Group is a rapidly growing Managed Network Services Provider and technology consulting firm specializing in enterprise networking, Wi-Fi engineering, structured cabling, and physical security systems. We are seeking a Network Engineer who will support both pre-sales and post-sales engineering activities, assist with customer solution design, and provide hands-on support across networking, wireless, cabling, and physical security projects.


Job Responsibilities:

•      Support the sales team by advising on customer requirements, recommending the best-fit technologies, and assisting with solution design.

•      Help develop customer Bills of Materials (BoMs) across multiple vendor ecosystems, including Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Axis, Verkada, and others.

•      Participate in pre-sales activities such as discovery calls, requirements gathering, reviewing RFPs, and identifying business opportunities.

•      Assist in designing enterprise wireless networks and improving customer Wi-Fi performance using Ekahau Pro and Ekahau Sidekick 2 for predictive, validation, and AP-on-a-stick surveys.

•      Perform wireless coverage assessments, identify RF interference, analyze heatmaps, and contribute to WLAN optimization strategies.

•      Support senior engineers with configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of network equipment including switches, access points, firewalls, and security devices.

•      Assist with structured cabling projects, including understanding cabling types, terminations, patch panels, IDF/MDF layout, rack equipment, cable labeling, and power/UPS considerations.

•      Support physical security deployments including IP cameras, access control systems, and surveillance solutions.

•      Create and maintain technical documentation including network diagrams, wiring layouts, device inventories, configuration records, and implementation notes.

•      Participate in post-sales activities such as staging equipment, validating connectivity, supporting on-site installations, and assisting during network cutovers.

•      Assist with routine troubleshooting of network incidents and connectivity issues, escalating to senior engineers when appropriate.


Experience:

·      Foundational understanding of networking concepts including OSI layers, Ethernet, switching, routing basics, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and basic firewall principles.

·      Knowledge of physical connectivity, including copper and fiber cabling types, connectors, racks, patch panels, closet layouts, power systems, and environmental considerations.

·      Familiarity with major networking and wireless vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus.

·      Familiarity with physical security vendors such as Axis, Verkada, and Rhombus.

·      Exposure to Wi-Fi technologies, RF fundamentals, and modern wireless standards (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7).

·      Ability to read construction drawings, floor plans, and convert building layouts into infrastructure requirements.

·      Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

·      Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a fast-paced engineering and project environment.

·      Experience with wireless survey tools, cabling work, CCTV installation, or basic device configuration is preferred but not required.

·      Industry certifications such as CCNA, Aruba ACW, ECMS, Ruckus WISE are highly desired but not required.


Qualifications:

  • 2 years as a Sys Admin, Engineering, or Sales Engineer —ideally within IT, SaaS, or MSP environments.
  • Familiarity with IT sales terminology (e.g., managed services, licensing, hardware/software SKUs, cloud platforms).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and Microsoft Office or G Suite.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-moving, technical environment.


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of vendor platforms (e.g., Ingram Micro, TD SYNNEX).
  • Basic understanding of ITIL or sales processes in a service delivery model.
  • Experience supporting teams selling B2B IT solutions or managed services.
