Job Description
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Land & Water Resource Technician for the Lake Wissota Stewardship Project within the Department of Land Conservation & Forest Management. This can be a student or a recent graduate. This position is seasonal, non-recurring, and limited term which requires up to 40 hours per week from May 2026 – November 2027 for a commitment of 975 hours. Focus includes information and education outreach, working with the Lake Wissota Improvement and Protection Association and watershed landowners.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources with an emphasis in Physical Earth Science, Water Resource Management, or another related course of study. Experience with ArcPro or similar software preferred. Knowledge of informational and educational outreach in an agricultural setting preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
