What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Loader Operator position at WBL Hardwoods - Bingaman & Son Lumber?
The Yard Loader Operator will be assigned to perform and assist in the following activities:
- Scale logs in the log yard and merchandizer
- Visually exam non-scale loads for log quality
- Load Lumber and Open Top Trailer Sawdust Trucks
- Help prepare log sales
- Communicate log quality concerns and successes with Log Yard Manager and Foresters
- Maintain lines of communication with machine operators for the proper and safe spreading of logs for scaling, loading of log deck, unloading and loading of trucks
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
