Overview:
Lead the design and delivery of complex projects across our key practice areas of Science & Technology and Mission Critical markets; including laboratories, life sciences facilities, pharmaceutical and manufacturing environments, telecommunications infrastructure, data centers, and government secured facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems through all phases of project delivery.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive communication and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project scope, engineering approaches, and design solutions based on client objectives, facility requirements, and project constraints.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Design and specify electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, distribution equipment, lighting, and control systems.
- Evaluate existing electrical infrastructure and develop recommendations for system upgrades, renovations, and expansions.
- Apply sound engineering judgment and innovative thinking to solve complex technical challenges.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, structural, and owner teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead project planning, execution, and quality control while managing scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, presentations, and construction progress meetings.
- Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, commissioning coordination, and field reports.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to support client development, business growth initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 10 years of electrical design experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment.
- Experience designing systems for mission critical, data center, SCIF, life science, laboratory, healthcare, or other technically complex facilities is strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design/calculation software.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, emergency power, grounding, lighting, and applicable building and energy codes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction administration, coordination, and project delivery processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions and exceptional client service.
