Duties
- Supervise, Train, and perform lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, and general maintenance tasks.
- Assign tasks efficiently, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies; conduct safety briefings and training sessions regularly.
- Oversee landscape maintenance activities including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control to promote healthy growth.
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and landscape features to ensure proper care and maintenance.
- Coordinate with owners on project specifications for all projects involving outdoor spaces.
- Lead snow removal operations during winter months by organizing equipment use and ensuring timely clearing of roads, walkways, and parking lots.
- Maintain equipment inventory; perform routine maintenance or arrange repairs to keep tools in optimal condition.
- Foster teamwork by providing mentorship to crew members; promote a positive work environment focused on safety and excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or related outdoor service fields.
- Prior supervising or team management experience in outdoor or construction settings.
- Strong knowledge of lawn care practices, irrigation systems, and snow removal techniques.
- Ability to read project plans related to projects involving landscaping elements.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team effectively.
- Good physical stamina; capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance; familiarity with irrigation management tools is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients and team members clearly and professionally.
