- StandardAero Houston is a premier business aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility specializing in the service of mid-sized corporate jets. We service world renowned brands across 22 models of airframes including Embraer, Hawker, Challenger, Learjet, Gulfstream, and Falcon . In addition to comprehensive airframe services, the facility features a state-of-the-art engine shop and test cel l, performing overhauls on TFE731 and CFE738 engines. With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, StandardAero Houston is dedicated to keeping business aviation flying safely and efficiently.
- Join our team as an Engine Inspector working across our engine overhaul facilities, testing lab, and aircraft hangars. In this role you will ensure TFE731, CFE738, and APUs meet all approved criteria to Return to Service (RTS). In this role, you will ensure airworthiness, and maintain compliance with FAA regulations while delivering top-tier service to our customers.
- Review and research log books, enter service bulletins, and accurately document work in compliance with all FAA regulations and service manuals.
- Inspect TFE731 and CFE738 turbofan engines during maintenance, determining serviceability with precision tools, gauges, and non-destructive testing (if certified).
- Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections on engines and APUs, ensuring quality and airworthiness.
- Approve Return to Service (RTS) for engines, ensuring all maintenance actions are properly documented and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with production teams, ensuring maintenance schedules are met and customer expectations are exceeded.
- Conduct final reviews of work orders and inspection records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) Certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Licensed Mechanic.
- Minimum 3 years of turbine engine inspection experience
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a Business Aviation MRO facility
- Minimum 3 years of experience inspecting Honeywell TFE731 or CFE738 turbofan engines.
- Experience with additional Honeywell products.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certification(s), experience, and/or training.
