The Opportunity
- We currently seek a Water Resources Engineering Intern for the Infrastructure Practice in St. Charles, Illinois for Summer 2026. This position is also open to Chicago, Illinois.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modeling and environmental permitting.
- Prepare plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates
- Gather and provide data for the preparation of engineering reports and studies
- Perform and review design calculations
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an intermediate level of technical writing and communication skills
- 3.0 GPA or above
- AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience
- Drainage software experience
- Experience or exposure to Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) plans preparation and design standards
