- What You’ll Do… This position is located in Duncan, OK. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.
- Projects you could potentially work on include:
- Develop a test system for a power system control interface
- Evaluate and test wireless interface options
- Migrate existing health monitoring algorithms to other hardware targets
- Develop a solar charging system
- Develop cloud computing applications
- Create product specifications for purchased components
- Develop a tool to automate data interchanges between different systems
- Improve existing wiring diagrams and documentation What You’ll Bring to Our Team Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the principals, practices, methods, and terminology electrical/computer engineering.
- Advanced familiarity with data acquisition instrumentation and methods.
- Advanced familiarity with networking hardware, transport, protocols, & interfaces.
- Working knowledge of PLCs and other industrial computing equipment.
- Working knowledge with data analysis tools such as Matlab.
- Working knowledge of power systems, power conversion, VFDs, transformers, switchgear, etc.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated skills in analog and digital circuit design and in embedded systems programming.
- Programming: C, C# and Python
- Self -starters with innovative ideas and the ability to express ideas to team members and stakeholders.
- Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- What We Offer… Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.
- Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.
