The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Entry-Level Tool Engineer located in Mesa, AZ .

• Position Overview: As a Tooling Engineer, you will evaluate program and project requirements to develop complex equipment and tooling concepts. You will analyze technical data to assess the impact on product engineering design and rate estimates, while also identifying opportunities for robotics, automation, and system integration. Your role will ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Position Responsibilities

• Assists with the development of basic equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
• Compiles and analyzes technical data for equipment and tooling.
• Assists with compliance reviews regarding safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Supports the tracking of contractual performance milestones, the development of preventative maintenance and spares plans, assists with production readiness planning, and training of Production and Maintenance personnel.
• Develops and implements basic work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
• Assists with the disposition of assets.
  
  

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

• An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
  
  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

• Experience working closely with a cross functional engineering team
  
  

Typical Education & Experience:

• Level 1: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor), or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
