Waypoint is seeking an exceptional, mission-driven leader to serve as our next Manager of Health, Well-being and Independence. About the Role

The Manager of Health, Wellbeing and Independence will provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for programs serving children/families with special health care needs, adults with disabilities and seniors. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, strong community partnerships, and measurable outcomes aligned with Waypoint’s mission and values.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage program performance, and play a key role in informing/shaping regional strategies to address needs for the populations served.

Qualifications

We are seeking a high-level candidate with a proven track record of leadership and impact:

• Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in nursing, health care administration, public health, social services or related field
• Minimum of 5years of supervisory/leadership experience in community-based care, human services, or related field
• Demonstrated experience managing complex programs and leading multidisciplinary teams
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and contract management
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
• This position requires a consistent on‑site presence, strong follow‑through, timely decision‑making, and proactive communication to maintain operational stability
• The Manager will be based primarily in Manchester with periodical travel across the state
