Our locally owned company, Waypoint Insurance Midwest, is growing and we are seeking a driven individual to join our business to business sales team.
As an independent insurance agency, we provide value to our clients by working with the top carriers to find the perfect fit for the client. We focus on property & casualty insurance for businesses.
Our Business Development Specialist is the key role to generating new opportunities and telling our story. The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, driving, and self-motivated, with prospecting experience. This role will either be a hybrid office/remote arrangement or based in person at our Overland Park office. The primary focus of the position is business to business telephone prospecting. The position will also support the sales team through tasks such as assistance with marketing campaigns, researching prospects, proposal creation, and other administrative functions.
No prior insurance industry experience is necessary.

· Minimum of 3 years of phone prospecting experience - required
· High school diploma – required
· Bachelor’s degree - preferred
