Seasonal Soils Technician

Headquartered in Memphis, TN and with 14 full-service agriculture and environmental laboratories throughout the U.S., Waypoint Analytical (WA) has established its agricultural soil labs as the most reliable and timely provider of agricultural soil test data.

The Seasonal Soils Technician will be responsible for analyzing soil to make the best recommendations through exceptional observational, communication, and critical thinking skills. You will have the opportunity to collect and analyze soil samples and document and report findings to appropriate teams.

Responsibilities include:

· Collect, analyze, and test soil, aggregates and other materials

· Document and explain all findings and note any issues or concerns to management

· Compile and present findings and recommendations to decision-makers

· Manage routine maintenance, daily care and minor repairs of equipment

· Utilize company equipment and adhere to safety standards, applicable laws, and rules and regulations

Some of the additional traits our candidate would need to possess include:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Valid driver’s license

· 1-3 years previous experience working in a laboratory preferred

· Knowledge of analytical method, sampling techniques, equipment, general lab practices, and lab safety

· Exceptional time management and communication skills required
