Our client, a Seed Stage FinTech start-up, is building the financial infrastructure behind ad-spend, a $1T a year market. They issue credit and deliver the best media buying experience for brands, agencies, and small businesses to grow their businesses through ads. They are the only firm to specialized in this space making them the true industry leader.
The company started in 2024 and are just 6 people big (and currently growing). They’re seeking someone smart and hungry to join them and help them continue to build and scale. They are located in San Francisco with a beautiful office and tons of amenities including consistently catered food.

The Role
They are looking to hire their first ever Growth hire! This is a 0→1 seat with full ownership of how the company finds, attracts, and converts agencies and advertisers to partnerships.
You’ll build the pipeline machine from scratch: target lists, inbound engines, events and conferences. You’ll work directly with the founder, ship fast, and own the number.
This is not a role for someone who wants to inherit a team and a playbook. It’s a role for someone who wants to write the playbook, do the hard work themselves, then hire the team.
What You’ll Do
- Build the target universe. Own list-building of agencies, brands, and advertisers worth chasing. Segment them, prioritize them, and keep the data clean.
- Generate inbound. Stand up the engine - content, SEO, partnerships, lifecycle, etc that brings qualified leads to them instead of the other way around.
- Get them in front of customers in creative ways. Identify the right conferences, events, sponsorships, dinners, communities, and unconventional plays where their buyers actually show up.
- Run paid acquisition. Test and scale paid channels where they make sense. Know when to push, when to pull back, and how to read the data.
- Own the pipeline number. Set goals, build the dashboards, and report results weekly. If something isn’t working, change it.
- Build the team behind you. Hire and lead the next growth hires once the playbook is working.
What They’re Looking For
They’re looking for someone who has proven success building Growth Strategy and GTM plans from scratch - a true builder of partnership pipelines!
- 0→1 growth experience at a startup. You’ve been an early growth hire and scaled a function from scratch - ideally as a leader with true ownership, not just a contributor.
- List-building and outbound chops. You know how to find a buyer universe, enrich it, and turn it into pipeline. You are comfortable and confident in building and leading strategic partnerships.
- Inbound experience. Content, SEO, partnerships, lifecycle - you’ve built the machine that makes leads come to you.
- Field and event instincts. You can sniff out the right conference, dinner, or community play that puts the company in the right room.
- Paid ads experience is a plus. Hands-on with Meta, LinkedIn, Google, or programmatic at meaningful scale.
- Bias toward action. You ship, you measure, you iterate. You don’t need a 6-week ramp to make a dent. You have a “this is what we need to do” mentality.
- Comfort with in-office, high-velocity work. This is a San Francisco, in-office role. They move fast and in the same room.
What Stands Out
Our client is open to all exceptional talent with proven success in architecting and building the playbook for Growth, GTM Marketing, and Strategic Partnership Development for a start-up, but a few nice to haves would be:
- You’ve sold into agencies, advertisers, or marketing/finance teams before.
- You have a network in performance marketing, ad ops, or agency leadership.
- You have fintech, B2B SaaS, or adtech experience.
