Job Summary:
As a Line Cook at Waynesborough Country Club, you will play a vital role in preparing and executing dishes to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. You will work in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment, ensuring that every dish is prepared efficiently and meets our exacting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional kitchen, a passion for cooking, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff, including sous chefs, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or issues to the kitchen manager or executive chef.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Assist in the preparation of daily specials and seasonal menu items.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings and training to maintain and improve cooking skills.
- Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of the kitchen as needed.
