What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Programs and Grants Manager (Available: June 2025) position at Waynesboro Public Schools?
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Administrative functions related to federal, state, and other grants; budget management and bookkeeping functions for federal, state and local budgets through the Office of Instruction.
DUTIES:
- Completes financial and other non-instructional federal and state reports.
- Processes reimbursements, transfers, allocations, and other budget functions.
- Implements financial plans for each budget residing in the Office of Instruction.
- Tracks revenues and expenditures, reconciles all accounts.
- Assists with preparation of grant applications.
- Maintains accurate records and files, and organizes them for monitoring.
- Collaborates with administrative staff in preparation of budget requests.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects; most independently; ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong planning and organizational skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Favorable consideration will be given to candidates who have:
- Experience in a school or educational administrative setting.
- Experience with federal grant applications and/or accounting procedures.

Salary : $50,458 - $75,389
