Position Overview:
Pipe Ship Associate is responsible for all aspects of the pipe shop including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of pipe/product for customer delivery while maintaining the pipe shop in a safe and orderly fashion.

Essential Job Functions
- Exhibit a positive, friendly & helpful attitude with customers and vendors and be sensitive to their needs
- Complete stock rotation of pipe. (Dependent on room available.)
- Maintains the Pipe Shop Shipping Procedures. (See the Operation Manual.)
- Maintains and follow an organized process for retrieving and sending material certs
- Select appropriate merchandise from stock to fulfill orders
- Receive all deliveries within 1 day. Returns (RMA) within 5 days.
- Prepare merchandise for customer transportation
- Maintain pipe shop area in an orderly and clean manner and provide suggestions for improving overall pipe shop operations
- Complete inventory cycle counts and spot counts as assigned
- Assist and resolve customer complaints
- Continual learning of the products and applications within our industry
- Assist in warehouse as needed and directed by supervisors
- Continued cross training with the various warehouse functions
- Attendance and participation at department meetings and vendor training sessions
- Identifies safety issues and problems; reports or corrects unsafe working conditions and safety problems; checks equipment and work area regularly
- Greet customers with a positive attitude when entering the Pipe Shop
- Any additional tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or other leadership
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work in seasonally hot or cold environments
- Be able to demonstrate essential customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurate complete job functions
- Product and application knowledge
- Ability to operate Material Handling equipment (Overhead crane & Forklift)
- Ability to operate band saw, circular saw and pipe threader
- Must be able to utilize PC and RF scanner for tracking movement of inventory
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
- Must understand the location of product within the pipe shop
- Must be able to work independently in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment.
