Job Summary
Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance is looking to hire Teacher Assistants for our SHINE After-school Centers located in the Delaware Valley School Districts. This is a 36-week comprehensive after-school program and includes K to 5th grades.
Job purpose:
To support the Program Initiative by assisting with student management. Teacher Assistants will be provided training opportunities and on occasion will participate in special events.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assisting students in with homework.
- Guiding and helping students to participate in learning center reading groups, games, and other STEAM activities as organized by SHINE teachers.
- Serving dinner to students, families, and staff.
- Clean up of dinner and all SHINE activities after the students are dismissed.
- Staff development participation.

- While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee may regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
