About the Role
Wayne Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to join our pediatric care team. In this full-time role, you will be the primary clinical presence for our young patients, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a warm and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, providing wound care, and managing medical equipment
- Perform physical assessments and provide ongoing clinical evaluations; collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain detailed records of patients' medical histories, treatments, and progress
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and self-care
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid treatment; ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and standards
- Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff and students
- Comply with all health privacy laws, including HIPAA
Qualifications
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program; passing NCLEX-RN score; active state RN license; and current BLS certification
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or CPR preferred
- Prior pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a multicultural team and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
