Responsibilities
Speech Pathologist administers and directs the administration of speech and language therapy. Provides speech and language therapy services to patients in the hospital’s acute care and skilled nursing areas, outpatient clinics and contracted agencies.
Job Requirements
Constantly: (Exists 75% or more of the time) Repetitive speaking.
Frequently: (Exists 25-75% of the time) Standing; sitting with back support; walking; reaching (forward, lateral); lifting and carrying 0-5 lbs.; operating motor vehicles.
Occasionally: (Exists 5- 25% of the time) Reaching (low); stooping (bend at waist); crouching (bend at knees); kneeling; climbing; twisting; balance; lifting and carrying 5-25 lbs.; pushing and pulling 0-40 lbs and >100 lbs. (help available >100 lbs.); operating machinery; exposure to radiation, chemical hazards, moving machinery.
Rarely: (Exists under 5% of the time) Reaching (overhead); lifting and carrying 25-40 lbs.; pushing and pulling 40-100 lbs. (help is available 75-100 lbs.); exposure to vibration, infect hazards.
Sensory Requirements Visual: close papers; Hearing: conversation, monitoring equipment, telephone, background noise.

Job Requirements
- Requires an MS, M Ed or MA in Speech Pathology or Speech Hearing Sciences
- PA licensed or eligible
- Must obtain certificates of clinical competence in speech-language pathology or its equivalent upon completion of clinical fellowship year.
