Job Description
Candidate will calibrate and operate a variety of equipment, obtains samples, conducts tests and reports accurate and complete results to physicians on a variety of tests. Selects test methodology that is appropriate for the clinical use of the test results. Verifies test procedures performed and establishes the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including the precision and accuracy of each test and test system.
Job Requirements
Requires the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Prior appropriate laboratory experience or combination of education and experience which establishes eligibility for the CMS personnel requirements; Must meet the personnel criteria as determined by CMS as personnel performing moderately and highly complex testing; Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or related field; One year experience in a CMS certified laboratory preferred; ASCP board certified preferred.
