Responsible for complete preparation of hot foods, soups and desserts for both patients and cafeteria service. Also responsible to prepare salads, breakfast specialty hot items, and desserts for cafeteria service. Monitors cafeteria during peak hours of operation for adequate food supply. The cook also works to promote general safety and sanitation within the Nutrition Services Department.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- Math and reading skills required ;
- Prior institutional cooking experience preferred;
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow specific direction;
- Able to process multiple activities at one time;
- Basic computer skills required.
