What you will do as a WMCHC Medical Assistant:
- Answer phones in a timely, professional manner. Forward calls or takes detailed messages as appropriate.
- Demonstrate proper and accurate charting of patients and procedures.
- Demonstrate effective knowledge of medical terminology and medical abbreviations.
- Cooperatively assist doctor with office exams and procedures.
- Demonstrate bandaging skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic first aid.
- Appropriately perform/demonstrate knowledge and/or use of vitals, exam room preparation, medical/surgical aseptic techniques, patients’ rights and ethics, venipuncture, collecting specimens, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
